PUTERA MIC: Putera MIC, a brainchild of Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu, was founded in 2007. It is a wing of the Malaysian Indian Congress, MIC, targeted at recruiting capable Indian youth aged 18 to 30. Putera MIC consists of some 3000 members, and counting. Most of our members are young professionals, graduates and entrepreneurs. Putera MIC provides an avenue for these capable individuals to contribute to society at large, and the Indian community in particular. Our focus is in the areas of education, entrepreneurship and social betterment. Putera MIC works hand-in-hand with Pemuda MIC with the common goal of upgrading the overall standing of Indians in Malaysia, starting with the Indian youth. We truly believe that Indian youth have tremendous capability and potential, and if given the right opportunities and nurturing, they will truly shine.
